The Inventory Specialist’s key objective is to assist the Inventory Team with day-to-day monitoring of PMS for inventory and reservation related issues.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors PMS for reservation placement (room assignments) to ensure proper utilization
- Point of contact for resort staff for issues related to reservations including - inventory allocations, overbookings, out of order rooms, any other questions related to inventory/reservations
- Work with Resort Staff to identify operational best practices and desirable maintenance timeframes
- Oversee Inventory usage assuring that it is properly utilized
- Handle all emergency out of service requests which may include reservation relocations
- Provide as needed inventory assistance to marketing, member services, and other sales channels to maximize inventory utilization
- Enters and monitors inbound Exchange activity and various Ownership Club’s inbounds for assigned resorts
- Communicate with owners on an as needed basis
- Willing to be cross trained in all aspects of the department to assist where needed
- All other duties as requested
Job Requirements
Education, Essential Training / Certifications and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1-2 Years Hotel/ Resort Operations or Timeshare experience preferred
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- High level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel is required
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects is required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Technically savvy, able to pickup and maneuver through several different systems
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work with a high level of professionalism
- Flexible schedule, ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when needed
