Position Title: Recreation Representative
Reports To: Recreation Supervisor/Recreation Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Purpose
The Recreation Representative provides Association members and guests with a fun a safe environment for swimming, working out, gem mining, playing mini-golf, tennis, and other available games.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsibilities listed may not apply to all locations
- Responsible for day-to-day operational issues
- Assists Association members with the use of the Recreation facilities and equipment, including the pools and tennis facilities
- Schedules tennis court times
- Assists with special events
- Maintains upkeep of the facilities and equipment at the Recreation center including but not limited to washing and folding towels, trash removal, sales of snacks and merchandise and present a safe and orderly environment for guests
- Promptly reports any issues or problems to the Recreation Center Manager
- Accurately completes the Daily Sales Reports, picks up and drops off keys and bank bag while following the public safety rules and regulations as required by the Association
- CommunicatesAssociation’s directives regarding the use of the resort facilities and amenities
- ProvidesAssociation members and guests with a congenial and receptive atmosphere of customer service and problem resolution
- Performs all other duties as requested
General Statement - Performs the job assigned, complying with Company policies and procedures, business code of ethics, FLSA regulations, and all applicable laws, as well as ensuring confidentiality, reliability, quality, and productivity.
Job Requirements
Education, Essential Training / Certifications, and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Customer service experience in the hospitality field is preferred
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to analyze customer needs and assist in resolving all customer challenges and stressful situations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to maintain an outgoing and positive attitude
- Efficient knowledge of office equipment, copier, calculator, fax machine, postage machine, and computer
- Flexible hours to include rotating schedule, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality
