The Rental Escrow Coordinator’s principal objective is to professionally and discretely maintain accurate records of the Associations managed by the company following our contractual obligations and involves the management and oversight of the Escrow accounts of Homeowners Association (HOA) rentals, commissions, and owner interaction and financial transactions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  •  

  • Prepares reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
  • Audit resort’s daily cash reports for multiple HOAs.
  • Post corporate rental payments.
  • Responsible for the integrity of the Associations’ rental commission and sales tax payment records.
  • Fulfill the company’s contractual obligations to each HOA Board managed.
  • Research and respond to disputes/complaints adequately, professionally, and appropriately.
  • Assist property owners with questions concerning rental commissions and 1099 information.
  • Prepare and mail rental commission checks, sales and use tax statements, yearly 1099s to property owners, and post payments made.
  • Record any ownership changes, including but not limited, contact information, status, address, and inventory changes.
  • Assist resort staff with allocating rental proceeds between payment disbursements and/or reducing outstanding account balances for owners.  Works with Rental Escrow Manager to determine the best course of action to resolve complex owner requests.
  • Performs all other related duties and projects as assigned

Job Requirements

Education, Essential Training / Certifications and Experience:

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or General Business, or five years’ related experience or training, or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
  • 1-3 years of accounting or property management experience.
  • 1-3 years Hospitality industry experience

  • Proficient computer skills, knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, QuickBooks, etc.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting practices
