Position: Housekeeping Attendant

Department: Housekeeping

Responsible for sorting, cleaning, and distributing linen and supplies to all units. Responsible for performing quality checks on all units and common areas. Responsible to assist in maintain all units and common areas to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Job Expectations:

1. Develop and maintain reports from the front desk concerning guest check out and units ready for occupancy.

2. Strips all dirty linen from the units.

3. Replenishes supplies such as paper goods and guest supplies.

4. Collects soiled linen and restocks clean linen.

5. Sorts dirty laundry and checks for stains and treats stains.

6. Cleans dirty laundry in washers and checks for stains after the laundry is cleaned.

7. Places clean laundry in the dryer and dry clean laundry.

8. Separates and folds clean laundry and puts clean laundry away.

9. Cleans and organizes laundry room, garage, and closets.

10. Cleans condos and common areas.

11. Cleans and performs duties in other areas of the resort as assigned.

12. Performs quality checks on units and common areas.

13. Ensures units are ready for guest arrivals.

14. Maintains a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

15. Always conducts themselves in a professional manner.

16. Develops and maintains excellent inter-departmental communications concerning unit quality, including housekeeping and maintenance.

Knowledge, Skill, and Experience:
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience required:
• 1+ year in a related field

Skills Required:
• Must have good oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task

Typical Working Conditions:
All-weather conditions will be experienced. The environment may include exposure to fumes, chemicals, mold, and other possible allergens.

Equipment Used:
Vacuums, mops, cleaning chemicals, brooms/dustpans, carts, dusters, washers, and dryers.

Essential Physical Tasks:
Loading and unloading washers and dryers. Sorting laundry. Carrying laundry baskets and laundry bags. Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, making beds, cleaning dishes and appliances. Physically be able to walk/stand through an extensive facility. Physically be able to walk up and downstairs. The employee is on their feet most of the time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
