The Capital Vacations Leadership Team continues to monitor the latest developments related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. With local and state government officials from different regions announcing the closure of select non-essential businesses, some of our Club Resorts have restricted incoming arrivals. For Club reservations with arrival dates through April 24, 2020, Capital Vacations will allow the cancellation of reservations without penalty and will return those Capital Points to Owner accounts.

If you wish to cancel your upcoming reservation at this time, please contact our Owner Services Team to facilitate the cancellation and refund your points. You may reach Owner Services at 844-777-2582, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 7 pm ET or Saturday, from 10 am to 5 pm ET.

We appreciate your patience with us as our present call volume is higher than normal. We are working tirelessly to assist each of our valued owners as quickly as possible.

Modified Cancellation Policy for Capital Vacations Club Owners

The Capital Vacations Leadership Team continues to monitor the latest developments related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. With local and state government officials from different regions announcing the closure of select non-essential businesses, some of our Club Resorts have begun restricting incoming arrivals. In light of these measures, we have temporarily revised our reservation cancellation policies for all Club reservations.

For Club reservations with arrival dates between March 24, 2020 and April 9, 2020, Capital Vacations will allow the cancellation of reservations without penalty and will return those Capital Points to Owner accounts.

As we move into April, we will continue to assess the situation and provide updated communications accordingly.

Though some of our resorts are closing temporarily, others are remaining open while implementing some reductions in on-site activities and/or amenities. If you are healthy and living in an area where you are still allowed to travel, and you would prefer to vacation at this time, we are preparing to welcome you with heightened disinfectant cleaning practices. However, before booking your vacation time, we recommend that you research your desired travel destination to gauge the current situation, as some cities have closed non-essential businesses that may impact your holiday experience. No matter your decision, we remain committed to serving you during this trying time.

March 16, 2020— We continue to monitor the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in both our local communities and the broader United States. Please be advised of the following nationwide updates:

Public School Closings in the United States
As of Monday, March 16, the following states have closed public schools for at least two weeks: New Hampshire, Vermont, New Jersey, Arkansas, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Illinois, Oregon, Utah, New Mexico, West Virginia, Virginia, Louisiana, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Maryland and Washington.

President Trump Declares National Emergency
On Friday, March 13, President Donald Trump announced a state of national emergency in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. This emergency designation allows for the allocation of $50 billion in resources to combat the pandemic. The president also announced plans for wider testing among affected populations.

Myth Busters
Don’t believe everything you read online regarding COVID-19. The World Health Organization (WHO) is working to combat commonly held, incorrect beliefs currently being circulated among social media outlets.

Rental Reservation Cancellations Due to COVID-19
At this time, we are offering rental guests scheduled to arrive at any Capital Vacations managed property before April 30, 2020, the option to change or reschedule any reservation without penalty up to 24 hours before scheduled arrival.

Note: Guests who booked through an online travel agent or other third parties, such as Booking.com or Expedia, should contact their booking provider for assistance and specific information on their policies.

As we monitor the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19), we want you to know that the health and safety of our resort visitors is our top priority. We greatly appreciate the trust you place in us for your vacations, and we want to inform you of the steps we are taking to maintain our high standards of safety and cleanliness.

We are closely monitoring the situation with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to make sure our policies and procedures meet or exceed their guidelines, and we are keeping in contact with governmental agencies where our resorts are located.

We have expanded cleaning and disinfecting at our resorts and are in the process of stocking hand sanitizer at check-in centers and in condominium units.

In conjunction with WHO and CDC guidelines, we encourage travelers to wash hands frequently with soap and water, cover nose and/or mouth with a tissue or flexed elbow when coughing or sneezing, and then dispose of used tissues in a no-touch trash bin.

We have developed guidelines for all properties, resort managers and employees in the Capital Vacations family to provide the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas. We will continue to prioritize the health of our vacation owners and guests by issuing guidance to all resorts and associates regarding good hygiene practices, such as increased daily cleanings of public high-touch and high-traffic areas, both in common areas of the resort and in individual units. Through our national partnerships, we are providing local GMs with additional third-party suppliers like Ecolab to obtain cleaning and disinfecting supplies as current channels become challenged.
